After snowboarding at Killington yesterday we awoke today groggy and sore. So we decided to take it easy and watched Harry Potter "Order of the Phoenix." When we finally pulled ourselves out of bed it was late morning and we decided to have some craft time which was a blast. - Also something to note is that we are making one of a kind postcards to send to people whose addresses we have. Most of them are the beginning sketches to a new series of paintings I will be showing next May in Duluth. So if you would like one of these pre-pieces send your address to tigerinourcar@gmail.com an we'll send one out on the road.
Now back to today. After drawing time ended my cousin John gave us a tour of his shop and studio. John owns and operates John Abrahamsen Woodworking in Vermont where he hand-builds custom designed furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, etc. You can look at some of the work he has created at his website - http://jawoodworking.net/. We were then getting ready to head into town to play on these computer things when I decided to build a jump over a large rock in John and Leah's front yard. After a bit of shoveling and a bunch of run-ups I was able to jump over the rock a couple of times.
By the time I was done being a kid for the day, the actual kids were home from school and I put Owen to work making Chocolate Chip cookies stuffed with full Oreos. (Yes you heard me right.) After cookies we headed over to the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT where we indulged in good food and good beer before Owen was off to go Trick-or-Treating. We ended the night with Halloween 3 which was quite horrible, but we felt we needed to do something Halloween-y...
That's it for now. We have been relaxing these past few days, but will be heading to Maine on Wednesday to do more exploring. Stay tuned and send those addresses if you want a piece of postal art.
